This recipe is a gift to everyone from two dear Brazilian friends—I think Brazil doesn’t have measuring equipment or something LOL… A “handful” to me is a cup. And I know some of you cook visually without the need for precise measures 😉
Serves 2
Blend Together
Handful of organic kale, chopped or prewashed power greens
Handful of baby spinach, or baby lettuce mix, or butter lettuce
1 tomato (sliced)
1½ cup coconut water, or coconut milk or coconut milk kefir (will make it creamy)
half handful of cilantro, chopped
half a handful of parsley, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
½ organic green apple, seeded and sliced
handful of raw nuts soaked overnight (need I mention that Brazil nuts are high in selenium and key minerals??)
½ Tablespoon flax seeds (soaked overnight)
1 teaspoon raw cacao powder (when roasted becomes cocoa powder—use either; use only unsweetened)
4 Tablespoons of Standard Process Whey Protein or SP Complete or Systemic Formulas Collagen Powder
Blend all. Serve immediately or keep chilled for later. Enjoy!
