Refreshing Watermelon Tonic

refreshing watermelon mint tonic

Let’s cut straight to the chase—you are, lounging in a chair outside. The sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, water with fresh squeezed lemon sounds amazing. What could be better?
Try this vine ripened watermelon drink. Naturally refreshing, watermelon supports your kidneys, fluid balance and is, well, just fun.

Makes 8 cups (serves 2)

Ingredients
One 3 pound watermelon (use seedless or remove most of the seeds—no need to remove all, the seeds have great nutrients). This produces about 4 cups of cubed watermelon
¼ cup fresh mint leaves trimmed and cleaned
Juice of 1 lime (or ¼ teaspoon bottled and not reconstituted)
4 cups water or replace one cup water with ice for a “slushy”
Lime wedges for garnish

Preparation
This amazingly refreshing drink is so simple.

  1. Place the ingredients in a Bullet or Ninja, blend.
  2. Some of us like to add Collagen powder if we are seeking more protein.
  3. Otherwise, keep it refreshing and clean.

Enjoy!
