Step 1: Calculate your body fat.
For your hip circumference, look in a mirror and identify the widest part of your buttocks. Then place a cloth tape measure or string at this location and run it around the circumference of your hips and buttocks. If you used a string, get the length from a real tape measure.

Note: please don’t jump on the scales every day. It will make you feel like you aren’t accomplishing anything when that is very far from the truth.
